The 997 Porsche is the internal name of the Porsche 911 produced since 2004. In comparison with its predecessor the Type 996 , the current sixth generation of 911 is more similar to the Urelfer from 1964, which is caused in particular by the reintroduction of the round headlight.

Technically from the previous series little by way of derogation was with the last work of Porsche Chief Designer Harm Lagaay presented an amendment, which caused discussions: the reintroduction of the round headlights.
